Although Priyanka Chopra is very possessive about her hair was made to cut her hair six inch short to get the look of her character in the film Anjaana Anjaani.

The actress was not too keep but had to do so for the film. Keeping her fingers crossed she geared herself to experiment after thinking for few days. After she saw herself with her new look she was shocked and loved her cut. After that she decided that she won’t go much shorter than this and will keep this as of now.

She is very happy to see how beautiful it has come out to be. She loves her look and especially feels that the posters are superb.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is looking forward to providing a huge distraction to the male contestants on Colors’ adventure reality show “Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi 3″.

“That’s what my intention is. To make them so distracted they won’t be able to do their stunts,” she says.

The 28-year-old actress sports a grungy look in the show. She wore denim hot pants teamed with a broad belt, knee-length boots, a cropped yellow top with a black leather biker jacket and gloves for the first promo.

Priyanka has just returned from shooting the stunts in Bangkok, and she’s super-excited. “I rode a dirt bike. I shot with an alligator and a bull. It was fun.”

After a rejuvenating birthday holiday in Phuket, Priyanka flew to Bangkok to shoot the promotional video for the reality show.

About the holiday, Priyanka says: “Apart from the mishap that happened when I dropped my phone in the water and couldn’t receive any birthday greetings, I had a fun time.”

“I was generally not recognised. But even if I was I didn’t mind. Being recognised is part and parcel of what I do,” she says.

The stunts involved a motorbike race where Priyanka challenged a group of youngsters to a race through terrain that would scare even a Grand Prix winner.

She had to ride through some of the most impossibly-rugged terrain. The male motorbikers were professional riders who can ride at high speed through the most rugged hinterland, according to crew members.

The actress had been secretly practising for the heart-in-the-mouth motorbike stunts for weeks.

The channel had offered to get a body-double to do the really intricate portions. But Priyanka insisted on doing the entire motorbike stunt-stint on her own.

So excited and charged did she get that she shot for a full 20 hours on the first of the two days of shooting in Bangkok.

“There is no challenge in half-measures. You either do the whole thing or don’t do it at all. I’ve always been fascinated by mobikes. I love mobike stunts,” she says.

“When I had seen Tom Cruise do the mobike stunts first, all I thought was, ‘Gawd if only I could get to do that.’ I guess my wish came true,” she adds.

The ride was not all fun and games. Priyanka has returned to Mumbai with quite a number of bruises. “But the pain was worth it. You can’t be one of the boys on the bike and not get your share of bruises,” she says.

She intends to wrap up all her assignments by October before heading for the shooting of “Don 2″ in Berlin.

Her look for “Khatron Ke Khiladi 3″ has been created by Bollywood stylist and fashion designer Anaita Shroff Adajania, who earlier styled for the “Dhoom” franchise as well as “Race”.

But, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posed some objections, the cricketers weren’t allowed to get involved. According to reports, this was the reason why the show got delayed.

However, Priyanka denied this news and said that the show hasn’t been delayed. It was always scheduled to start in August.

The third season of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ will see the Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra as the host, but the main question now is whether the show will hit small screens on schedule.

According to reports, the show makers are having a hard time to sign up cricketers for this season because of Lalit Modi’s IPL debate.

Cricketers are maintaining a low profile these days to avoid any argument and it looks that this is reflecting on the show.

Hearsays are all around that Priyanka is one of the highest paid actresses receiving a big amount between 1-3 crores on TV to host a show while competing with Akki and Sallu.

The show was going off schedule because of the trouble of roping in cricketers.

But now sources disclosed that ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ is likely to be shot in Copacabana, Brazil and will be hitting screens anytime between July and August.

Some of the cricketers are on board while some still need to be roped in. It is not just the Indian cricketers that will be seen on the show. The channel wants an ensemble of Indian as well as Foreign cricketers to make it more interesting.

I don’t think a day will do anymore…it’s not enough to recognise, celebrate or shows thanks to every woman that inhabits the world and whose presence makes a perceptible difference to everyone’s life.

I am honoured to have been asked to be the Guest Editor of the After Hrs Women’s Day Special edition. As I assimilated my thoughts, it was fairly evident that this topic is very vast and it would be quite difficult to narrow my thoughts to a few hundred words…but I’ll try!

President Barack Obama once said: “The best judge of whether or not a country is going to develop is how it treats its women. If it’s educating its girls, if women have equal rights, that country is going to move forward. But if women are oppressed and abused, then they’re going to fall behind.”

Given where India stands today and the giant strides it has been taking, this is a very key point. The empowerment of women in our country is quite complex because you are tackling issues in different contexts and levels.

From a professional perspective, we have made some definite strides. If I take a small example of my industry, over the past few years, the role of a woman in Indian cinema has changed dramatically and evolved to a space where women-oriented films are accepted and successful.

There are so many success stories of women from across industries that support this fact. We have come a long way but we
still have a long way to go.

However, from a social perspective, we have barely scratched the surface…the emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says, ‘It’s a girl’.

From infant foeticide, lack of education to child marriage, the Indian girl child and woman still continues to deal with the lack of basic human rights and much more.

The positive aspect is that there is a growing recognition of the areas of concern and there are big steps being taken to work towards a change. I am certain the momentum will continue.

There is so much more I would like to add but for now I’ll leave you with a thought — “I am a woman in process. I’m just trying like everybody else. I try to take every conflict, every experience, and learn from it. Life is never dull.”

Last year, when Hollywood actor Gerard Butler came to Mumbai, Priyanka Chopra had played a gracious host at a special party thrown exclusively for him. In fact, the bonhomie between the duo wasn’t restricted to just friendship, as reports claimed. To put all doubts to rest, Gerard had even said in an interview: “I don’t mind marrying an Indian girl, too bad Priyanka already has a boyfriend!”

Whether something is brewing between PC and the ‘300’ star is hard to say, but the twosome does seem to have a soft spot for each other.

She later tweeted from Johannesburg, “Wow! Eerie feeling.. I’m so excited! … Sitting and watching the rehearsals.. All the girls walking out in their finery… So nostalgic.. It’s almost like I can hear their thoughts.”

Before leaving for the pageant, where Miss Gibraltar was crowned Miss World and Pantaloons Femina Miss India Pooja Chopra was crowned Beauty With A Purpose, Priyanka did a mock poll on whether she should wear her hair straight or sports curls with her sari.

At Johannesburg, Priyanka told PTI that it is wrong to expect the winning beauty to change the world. “Miss World is not the President of a country, and people should not expect her to be that,” she said.

The 59th edition of the contest saw beauties from 112 countries participating, and Priyanka says that the winner of the pageant is just another girl doing her bit to help.

“She’s just a girl who has been given this pedestal of power and position and she is going to do her bit to help whoever needs help, especially because the Miss World organisation does so much for children who are disadvantaged, sick and underprivileged,” Priyanka said.

She made it a point that she wrapped up her shoot in time and got tickets for the show.”

The actress confirmed saying, “It`s been fun Twittering. I love R&B music and I enjoyed his last album a hell of a lot”.
